Mini skirts, leather pants, thigh high splits and tube tops. That’s what I saw when my girlfriends and I would primp and preen ourselves in the mirror every weekend. Over the past few years that reflection has faded and I’m more inclined to high tea than high heels. Don’t get me wrong, I still get dressed up to the nines but i’m a bit more choosey to wear I make a mark with my red soles.
One thing that has stayed the same forever whilst growing up is that Sundays have always been a day of rest and for me, to wear red lipstick or stiletto heels is a real fashion faux-pas.
Oversized jumpers take up the majority of space in my closest. The stylish versatility of them is perfect for the never ending cold weather in England! Last week I styled a large knit, cut out shoulder jumper with a leather mini skirt and over the knee boots, I tied my hair into a neat ponytail for a glamorous and tailored style.
I wore this look to the Club Monaco NYFW collection showing, which is wear i met the beautiful and inspirational Lydia E. Millen.
Today is Sunday. Another day, another look. Less high class, more sitting on my arse! Right now I’m dressed in soft grey cashmere ‘apartment pants’ (you FRIENDS fans know exactly what i mean!) and surprise, surprise, a matching jumper… and my two siamese kittens draped over me, which could be mistaken for a silk scarf when looked at quickly!!
Café au lait and warm chocolate croissants are also a bit of a tradition on my weekends. I read that french woman don’t get fat so I always order two!
My outfit today was a warm, coffee colour jumper with soft black jeans and white pumps, this put together with a flash of gold over my eyelids and rose colour lip transformed me from Sundays sleeping beauty to effortlessly chic brunch babe.
Cute outfits xx

Thanks Rachel. Nothing better than a lazy day Sunday in sweats!
